What is an EEG pad?
An EEG (electroencephalogram) pad is a sensor placed within a pad that sticks to the head. The pad is placed on the head to send signals measuring brain activity to a monitor, on which the readings are displayed. The pad does not hurt.

When is an EEG pad used?
An EEG pad is used when the doctor wants to monitor the electrical activity in the brain.

Does use of an EEG pad hurt?
No.

How long is an EEG pad used?
The pad can be left in place for a short time or as long as days.

Are there any potential complications associated with use of an EEG pad?
No.
