When should it be used?
The call button should be used whenever the patient or family feels that they need the nurse.

How does it work?
The call button signals in both the room and at the nursing station. The call button is answered by the staff in person or by an intercom system. The signal continues until the ICU staff responds to the patient. If you have concerns or questions regarding the call button system, contact your nurse.
